The many days of Halloween!!!

This is a very late post. I thought I needed to get it dome before Thanksgiving and I got more behind.

Halloween if a busy week for us. We have lots of activities for Liam. We start the week off with our annual Life Group social with our Church families. Then we move on to our playgroup with all the kids and moms. Following playgroup, we have Trunk or Treat! Last but not least is Halloween!!

Life Group
This year was lots of fun. We had some great chili hot dogs and then lots of dessert and candy. We had some wonderful games for the kids outside to play. Liam was a little young for the games but he enjoyed being outside.

We were getting ready for a group picture and Liam would not give up his chicken nugget!

Best group shot! The husbands hate this every year!

Big throw!!!

I just love this picture!

Play group
Playgroup was great this year! Lauren hosted it so Liam and I did not have far to go! The kids did great until picture time. We had some major melt downs about taking pictures! But all in all it was a great time.

Best shot!

Liam lost his pants since it was so hot outside!

Liam and Isaiah!

Trunk or Treat
This year Chris and I did a car for trunk or treat! It was very last minute so it was not the greatest but it served it's purpose. We were just happy to help. This was the first year Liam could really enjoy Trunk or treat! He didn't really care about the candy but he really just wanted to put things in his bucket!

Marathon!!!

Chris and I decided to complete a 1/2 marathon. We did the marathon of our friends, Neil and Kathryn. They are adopting and all the proceeds went to their fund. I trained a lot with Lauren and Kristen. We met 2-3 times a week to walk. Chris and Troy were a little less consistent with their training. However, it all worked out. We really didn't know what to expect the morning of but the weather was nice and we were ready! We only had one small hiccup in our plans. Lauren and I lost Kristen..... I guess we didn't lose her since we never found her at the start of the marathon. We waited for 11 minutes after the start in hopes of finding her. Once we started, we kept looking. We did find some other friends, and they informed up that our friend, Kristen was ahead of us. Well that lit a fire for Lauren and I! We were on a mission to catch our friend. At about mile 7 we found her!!! We were so excited. The excitement died off and we were left with more miles to walk. We had heard that if you can walk 9-10 miles the adrenaline with carry you through the rest of the marathon. Those people lied to us. We felt the adrenaline kick in when we saw the finish line and we realized out husbands had moved the cars closer so we did not have to walk to far. It was worth it. The marathon helped foster relationships with Lauren, Kristen and I. I am truly blessed to have these women in my life. Our finish time for the marathon was 3 hours 19 minutes. The boys finished in 2 hours 3 minutes.

Lauren and I walking to find Kristen!!! We were women on a mission!

We found her! This was about the half way point!

So close to the finish line!

We made it!!!!

Chris running! Yes it rained on us during the marathon!!

The Park

The day before the marathon, Kristen, Lauren and I took the boys to get the registration packets for everyone. Since they did not open until noon, we shared in some park time. It was great. The park was hugh. However, since it had rained that night things we a little slick but the boys still had  blast! There were only some minor bumps and bruises from the wet ground but everyone recovered quickly!

Reef and Jonas climbing on this rope thing!

Liam wanted in on the action too but didn't understand how to make it work.

Liam likes spinning this thing!

I know this comes as a shock but Reef found the firetruck playgroup. It took longer than we thought but it was a hugh hit! Liam loved it since it was easy to climb and it had steering wheels!!!

More Firetruck!

I remembered these as a kid. Liam was okay with it but he sat nicely while I took a picture!

The swings are always a great love. Liam could stay in a swing all day. He just loves it. It was nice because they had about 8 swings in a row, so we just line the boys up and off they went!

Liam, Isaiah, Jonas, and Lachlan on the swings. The big boys, Reef and Ethan, were on the big kid swings!

Lachlan was very tired from his short nap, so he was relaxing in the swing!

Liam loved the slide. I think it is cute that he only goes down backwards!

Resting before lunch

We are planning an other trip up there on a not so wet day! It was a great time. All that running made for a wonderful nap time too!!!

More pumpkin patch!!!

The other day, Lauren and I took Liam and Lachlan to the pumpkin patch. After a few wrong turns, we made it safe and sound. The boys we ready to play. Since our husbands were not around, we were able to dress the boys and pose them. They looked so cute in their overalls!!!

Liam and Lachlan amazed by the amount of pumpkins!

laughing

Sharing some small pumpkin. Very sweet!

Mom! Look at me and my muscles! Liam tried so hard to pick up this pumpkin!

Waving!

In the wheel barrel! This is the posing I am talking about!

Zoo

On Wednesday, my friend Kat and I took our boys to the Zoo. Liam and Jacob had a wonderful time. Liam took some time to warm up to things but it was fun. Kat and I had a great time catching up on our daily lives. Liam and Jacob did well with each other. Jacob even gave Liam a hug!

This parrot was very pretty!

These goats, Laverne and Shirley, were very lazy and let the boys brush them.

Liam waving to the camera

Brushing Laverne. She was very lazy and fat. Thankfully she was also very tolerate of toddlers.

After a lunch break, we took them to the Tiny Tots Nature Spot. Liam was in love with the phone and the cash register. He did not want to share with the other kids.

The next and final stop was the butterfly garden. This is Liam and I's favorite part. I just love all the butterflies and Liam loves to chase them. He normally goes crazy over them. However, this day he was to busy snacking to chase anything.

Eating his snacky snacks!

Great picture of a butterfly!
