The Park

The day before the marathon, Kristen, Lauren and I took the boys to get the registration packets for everyone. Since they did not open until noon, we shared in some park time. It was great. The park was hugh. However, since it had rained that night things we a little slick but the boys still had  blast! There were only some minor bumps and bruises from the wet ground but everyone recovered quickly!

Reef and Jonas climbing on this rope thing!

Liam wanted in on the action too but didn't understand how to make it work.

Liam likes spinning this thing!

I know this comes as a shock but Reef found the firetruck playgroup. It took longer than we thought but it was a hugh hit! Liam loved it since it was easy to climb and it had steering wheels!!!

More Firetruck!

I remembered these as a kid. Liam was okay with it but he sat nicely while I took a picture!

The swings are always a great love. Liam could stay in a swing all day. He just loves it. It was nice because they had about 8 swings in a row, so we just line the boys up and off they went!

Liam, Isaiah, Jonas, and Lachlan on the swings. The big boys, Reef and Ethan, were on the big kid swings!

Lachlan was very tired from his short nap, so he was relaxing in the swing!

Liam loved the slide. I think it is cute that he only goes down backwards!

Resting before lunch

We are planning an other trip up there on a not so wet day! It was a great time. All that running made for a wonderful nap time too!!!

More pumpkin patch!!!

The other day, Lauren and I took Liam and Lachlan to the pumpkin patch. After a few wrong turns, we made it safe and sound. The boys we ready to play. Since our husbands were not around, we were able to dress the boys and pose them. They looked so cute in their overalls!!!

Liam and Lachlan amazed by the amount of pumpkins!

Sharing some small pumpkin. Very sweet!

Zoo

On Wednesday, my friend Kat and I took our boys to the Zoo. Liam and Jacob had a wonderful time. Liam took some time to warm up to things but it was fun. Kat and I had a great time catching up on our daily lives. Liam and Jacob did well with each other. Jacob even gave Liam a hug!

This parrot was very pretty!

These goats, Laverne and Shirley, were very lazy and let the boys brush them.

Brushing Laverne. She was very lazy and fat. Thankfully she was also very tolerate of toddlers.

After a lunch break, we took them to the Tiny Tots Nature Spot. Liam was in love with the phone and the cash register. He did not want to share with the other kids.

The next and final stop was the butterfly garden. This is Liam and I's favorite part. I just love all the butterflies and Liam loves to chase them. He normally goes crazy over them. However, this day he was to busy snacking to chase anything.

Eating his snacky snacks!

Great picture of a butterfly!

Learning to color and car races!

Since I am staying home with Liam, I thought it would be a good time to start some art projects. I thought we would start with some basic coloring. He enjoyed coloring. He liked it more when he could bring his cars to the table too! Liam has become very attached to his toy cars. He must take them everywhere. It is very cute to see him discover new things!!

Family Retreat!

This past weekend we joined our Church on a family retreat! This was our first camping trip. Well more "cabining" as I call it. I did however, completely over pack! I know this comes as a shock for people but I really felt that I would need everything and then some. Chris thought I had packed so much stuff he called our neighbor Laurent o come look at it. Since we were caravanning up to the site with them and they had been before she would know. I would just like to let everyone know it was given the okay!  The drive was not that bad. The total drive time was about 2 hours. We did stop for a few minutes to give the boys a break. Liam and Lachlan were having a tuff time with the car seat confinement! I have been struggling with some car sickness over the past few months and it seems to always happen at the worse times. That trip was no different. By the time we arrived the boys were ready to play! Our first night was unstructured. We feed the boys dinner and got the cabins all set up. We were sharing a cabin with the Zimmer family. We finally put all the boys down around 830 that night. Liam however had other plans for us. It took us until 930 to get him to sleep. Then since all the kids were asleep, we had some much needed adult time. We stayed up way to late playing games. Chris and I truly had a wonderful time.

The next day, Saturday, was fantastic. We started the day nice and early at 645 am. The weather was perfect. Nice crisp air greeted us as we exited the cabin. Liam loved waking up and going straight outside.  We spent the morning with some amazing people. We did some devotional activities in the morning. After our group activities, we did some more playing. Liam and Lachlan played with cars down by the river. The older boys rode bikes and went for canoe rides.

Liam took a bike handle bar to the face. He is okay but still carries a bruise.

Hugs! So sweet!

After a much needed nap for the boys and the adults, we took a nature walk. It was very nice. We all enjoyed the time outside. Liam enjoyed the view from the backpack!
