Lego batman

The highlight of Liam's week is playing Lego Batman on the wii with Chris. He loves this special one on one time. It is the one time during the week he can stay up until 730pm. He also gets daddy all to him self, since Eli goes to bed by 645-7pm. Liam loves this time and I love it for him!

Playing Batman

They are both so focused!

One night we let Liam had a living room sleepover. We pulled out the air mattress and some blankets. Liam even gave his daddy an animal to snuggle up too. So the boys played Batman on the wii and then Liam got to watch the Lego Batman movie. It was amazing according to him.  He was up late that night, until about 9pm. I know crazy for us!

Playing batman

This is how I found them in the morning. They are so cute!

I thank God daily for these blessings. It brings a smile to my face every time I think about our boys. They are amazing children. I can't begin to imagine my life without them. We truly are blessed!

Night Away

During Chris' semester break we were able to arrange a night away. We were also luck to be able to get a night out. Monica came and watched the boys until Patty arrived to take Liam for the weekend. He loves his sleep overs at her house. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives that are willing to help us. One of Chris' classmates won a catered party for 100 at Howl at the Moon in downtown San Antonio. We were super excited to hang out with friends on the first night of semester break. I loved all time we got to spend with each of them. Chris was off mingling with his buds, while I chatted it up with the girls. I made myself some new friends. I am excited to watch our friendships flourish over the next year. Thanks Crystal for a great night!

Crystal, Michelle and I! Chris ordered us all a fruity drink!

The next day we woke up to only one child. It was weird having just Elias. Liam was off at Patty's lake house. Yes, I know Liam always gets to go to the lake house! One special kid! After Eli's morning nap we loaded up the car and dropped him off at Blaire and Seamus' for the night. I knew he would love it since his most favorite dog would be there. It amazes me the love that Eli and Leonidas have for each other. We were on the road early. We decided to do some shopping before checking into the hotel. Chris got a few new shirts and we found shoes and stuff for the boys. It was a success. Once we checked in we headed to the room, dropped our bags and went to the pool. I was excited for some sun and relaxation. We scoped out some spots and settled in! It was great. just sitting there, doing nothing. I read my book and talked with Chris. It was great.

At the pool!!!!

We ordered some drinks. Look at how nice that pool looks!

Enjoying time together.

Later that afternoon, our dear friends the Zimmer's joined us poolside. We talked and laughed. We also people watched. That is always my favorite thing to do. We ordered lots of food and relaxed. We loved having them with us.

Kristen and I poolside

After dinner and some more time poolside, we decided dessert was in order. So off to the cheesecake factory for us! As usual, it did not disappoint!

The next morning was quite lazy. It was amazing. We woke on our own time and then just laid in bed while watching TV. This is quite the treat since we a) don't have a TV in our room and b) don't have cable. Surprisingly, it is almost always hard for us to find something to watch. We usually end up on sports or a cooking show. After some laying around, we headed down to breakfast and to finish our day by the pool!

My fancy eggs benedict!

More pool time

Laying by the pool!

We had a lovely weekend and enjoyed all our time. We are so thankful to all our family and friends that made it happen.
