Reading is fun!

Liam had his first library visit the other day. He loved it. We walked around and explored all the books. He loved sitting in the rocking chair with his books. We checked out 4 books and he was so attached to his new books that he did not want to give the up for check out. He starts reading them first thing in the morning. He will sit and flip through them like a little reader. He is very much in love with the touch and feel books. We do need to find a way to separate the library books from the regular books. I am very glad the he loves the books so much. Reading is very important to our family. Strong reading skills are a much for the future.

Butterfly Garden

For Lachlan's first birthday, Liam and I were invited to the zoo with the boys. Liam's and Lachlan's favorite part of the day was the butterfly garden. This is large due to that they got to get out of the stroller and run around. Liam loved chasing the butterflies! He would run up one side of the garden and then up the other side. He would bang on the butterfly display and babble up a storm. It was wonderful to see him really enjoying himself and playing!

While mommy is away.......

I went on a girls weekend to the beach. So Chris was on his own with Liam for 3 days! I know that they were taking care of each other. On Saturday, Chris started the day off with MacDonald's! He took Liam to play at the MacDonald's play area. Chris said he had a great time. He loved playing in the tunnels and climbing up and down the slide.

Flying the plane......

We took a late flight our of Atlanta, hoping that Liam would sleep. That did not happen. Liam was a big hit on the airplane. The flight attendants loved playing with him. Within 10 minutes of being on the plane, Liam was in the arms of his favorite flight attendant. He didn't even cry when she asked to hold him. He put his are us to her before she even finished the sentence. I was shocked since he is not a fan of people he doesn't know. He just much love blondes or know that there we lots of buttons in the cockpit! She took Liam to see the cockpit and he got to talk on the over head mic. He loved the cockpit. He was very overwhelmed with all the buttons that he could push. It was very cute. However, he did not sleep on the plane. Liam didn't get to bed until after we lated in San Antonio, at 1030pm! He was so tired and cranky but did well!

Alabama Part 5 - Water Park

After Liam had such a great time with the splash park, we decided to make a day trip to the water park. This was again a great day with Liam. He had a great time with the water. There was a see saw that shot water. Liam loved it! He did not want to get off it. When he did finally get of the see saw he walked right back over to it. There was a great love of the see saw. We did have our first water scare. He fell face first into the water. He recovered very quickly after I snatched him him. After a few seconds he was ready for the water again. After a quick snack, we were ready for more water play! Liam loved the water park. He played so hard that he ate 5 chicken nuggets and many fries from Chick-fil-A!

Alabama Part 5 - Splash Park

One of our days in Alabama, we decided to go to the splash park. Liam was a little put off at first but once he got into the groove of things he was all about it. Liam loved splashing in the water. He enjoyed running and playing in the water. It was very cute to see him playing. He was running through al the water. He loved the water slide. He even tried to climb up the slide. It was funny, since there was water coming down the slide he did not have the same effect as the slide at home. Liam enjoyed al the time outside!  He is growing up so quickly. I can't believe he is a toddler.

Alabama Part 4 - Playing with the Glenns

We had a great time in Alabama. Liam loved all the new toys that were there. Tyler was good about sharing his toys. Liam loved all the then since they were new to him. It was fun to watch him explore new places and things. We had a great time playing and spending time with the Glenns!

Alabama Part 3 - Atticus' Birthday Party

Our last day in Florida, we attending Atticus' 4th birthday party. Atticus had an animal safari party! There were tons of blow up animals. He loved all the blow up things.  Liam was not a hugh fan of all the animals. He was not afraid of the cockroach or snake. In fact he loved the snake. I had to hold him back because he really wanted the snake! We all really enjoyed ourself at the party. Liam played very hard. We had to leave before the party was over to drive back home. The boys were not as good in the car as the drive down there but all in all it was not bad. They did well.

Alabama Part 2- Sadie the dog

While we were in Alabama, we visited with Cynthia's sister, Anne. Liam fell in love with Anne's dog, Sadie! He loved throwing the ball and she loved fetching it. The love of Liam and Sadie was not a love at first site. Liam was very afraid of Sadie. He would cry if she came near him. Thankfully, the fetching of the  ball was introduced into their relationship. Liam was in love. He and Sadie played forever. Poor Sadie was so worn out. Liam and Sadie had a great time!

Alabama Part 1 - Florida

Sorry for the delay but we have been so since our vacation. We got home and hit the ground running!!!

Our trip to Alabama started full force. We were up early to start our girls trip to the beach with the kids. It was a 4 hour rip form Alabama to Florida. The boys did great. Liam and Tyler were amazing. I was unsure  of this trip since we have never been on a car trip of this length. Liam did amazing. He was the perfect baby on this long trip. This was great since we got lost and added 2 hours to our trip. Liam was a trooper. Our three days in Florida were amazing. Our first full day was at the beach. Liam was not a fan. He instantly hated the sand and the cold water. So we decided to go and take our nap and then try the pool.  Liam loved the pool. He had so much fun with the pool. We are so glad that he loves the water now. The pool had these large foam sea turtle for the kids to play on. The pool was a beach entry. It was amazing to see Liam splash and play and climb all over everything. He is really coming into his own.
