Rainy Day in S.A.

We finally received some much needed rain. It started with a light sprinkle and then we got the down pour we so desperately needed. Liam was outside with the Gibbin's boys. They all loved the rain. It lead to lots of running and squealing. I loved watching them play and run.

Enjoying the rain!

Running with his best bud Lachlan

More running!

Ever since we received the rain, Liam asks for rain everyday. The other day it looked like it might rain and walked around saying "Rain, Amen" over and over again. He now thinks the sprinkler is rain too. Silly boy!

April's Graduation

Liam and I were so blessed to attend my sweet friend, April's graduation from Navy Corpsman school. I was stationed here for all her Navy training schools. This past Tuesday was her graduation. Now was a bog deal. Not only did April make it through all her training but she made the Dean's list. I am so very very proud of her. She did an amazing job. April was part of the first class to graduate from new Navy Corpsman program here in San Antonio. Her class 130 made history! I feel so blessed to be part of it! Liam did wonderfully. it was hard for him to sit still and play quietly for the hour long ceremony. He had a hard time understanding that he could not just shout out April's name whenever he wanted. Thankfully, he was mostly well behaved. He was fascinated by all the Sailor's marching in.

The colors!

Congrats April!

Just like Daddy!!!

So Chris sprained his ankle really bad last week. He has a 2nd degree sprain. He has been elevating and icing his ankle a lot through out the day. Liam wants to be just like Daddy! The other day he wanted me to wrap his ankle with ice. He thought it was great!!!!!! Super Cute!

Summer Reading!

I enrolled Liam in the San Antonio public library summer reading program. I had to read 15 books to him before the summer was over. We that is not to hard in our house. We read about 4 books a day. He really loves to read. I love that about him. We are slowly growing a rather large collection of books for him. He does have his favorites. Right now he loves, the critters books and chuggington books. But his favorite is the Fireman Critter book from his Aunt Maria. We read it a lot!

Liam received a free book from the library. He picked Twinkle Star!

Waffle Wednesday

Chris and Pete decided that we should instate Waffle Wednesday. I decided why not? So in the process of making waffles, Liam wanted one. So we went for it. This is the result!

Eating waffle! Yes, he is eating a waffle!

We love the waffle!!!!

SeaWorld

It has been years since Chris and I had been to SeaWorld. I thought it was a good time to take Liam. Since he is free and we get in free.(Thank you Military) I had heard great things about this new kids area and water park. We packed up and headed out. Liam was a good trooper. SeaWorld is not that far from her about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. We might have arrived sooner if we not passed the entrance sign multiple times before finding it. But we still got a good parking space and it was not very crowded. We started off with the kiddie rides. Liam had never been on a roller coaster so this was all new. I knew he would love the carousal. We had at least been on one of those before.

Liam really loved the carousel.

After the carousel, we went on this spin thing. Liam really liked it. I choose this ride since I was not a fan of the other options. I tend to get sick some of the other rides. Liam loved this ride! He loved being able to see everything from the top!

Liam and Mommy!

This next ride was all for Chris. It went up and down and dropped with sudden stops. Liam loved it. He kept his hands in the air and had a hugh smile on his face. It was great to watch him smile and laugh. He had a great time.

Big picture!

This picture says it all. He loved it!!!!

Right after our ride, they started the show. Liam thought it was great. He clapped and watched them dance around. Liam was never into Sesame Street but he liked the live show! Well, he liked it until the character come off stage and got close to him. He was not a big fan of large characters!

The show!

Watching the show with daddy!

This was the best picture we got. Liam freaked out if he was too close to Grover!

After the show we ate lunch and then changed for some water play! Need I say more. He loves the water. I think he is part fish at times! The Bay of Play was amazing. Liam loved it. He ran and splashed. The water area is great.

He loved running through the water.

This cracks me up. He loves the water!

Daddy and Liam!

We did venture to the adult water area. Liam liked this beach entry area. It was nice since we could sit in the water as Liam played. We did try the wave pool but Liam hated getting the water in his face. So after a short lived trip to the wave pool, we were back in the beach entry.

Liam and Chris playing.

Relaxing............

Liam loved running into the water..........

Just so he could fall and splash!!!!

It was fun to watch him run and play!

Before we even let the parking lot. He was so tired!

And we are done!!!

We had such a wonderful time at SeaWorld. We can't wait to go back again!!!

Cow Appreciation Day 2011

So Chick-fil-A had their annual Cow Appreciation Day on Friday July 8th. If you dressed like a cow from head to toe, you receive a free value meal. If you wore just a partial cow outfit, you received a free entree. Well we dresses head to toe!!!!!!! We had too it was free!!! So we headed out at 445pm in anticipation of a long line. We  arrived to a very empty Chick-fil-A. We were excited to be there. Liam was a trooper about the whole cow thing. He loved saying cow! We enjoyed our great meal. Since we arrived before the crowd, we saved tables for the Gibbins group and for Pete and Cathy. We had a very large group when it was all said and done. The Torres family + 5, the Gibbins +6 and a new couple from Church +2, so our total for dinner was 13! It was great! Free food and great friends!

Our Cow Family!

Liam was very excited about his new cow! We all got stuffed cows for dressing up!

Liam also received a new cow hat and a bumper sticker. He loves Chick-fil-a!

Our first Dentist visit

Today was Liam's first time at the dentist. I was a little nervous. Liam is not one for preforming when I need him too. I thought we should start getting him used to going and seeing the dentist. He did great! Just amazing. We walked in and Liam went straight for the car magazines. He is a son after his father's heart! I love that the office was quiet and not busy. Liam sat in the dentist chair and laid back for his teeth inspection. He sat and grinned for show all his teeth. The hygienist counted all his teeth and polished them. I was so surprised. He thought it was great that he got to hold a mirror and look at everything they were doing. He loved it. He was not happy with his new tooth brush choices but he did setting on the blue and green one. I am sorry I didn't take the camera but he did wonderful! I wish I had taken some pictures.

Hemier Park

Liam and I visited Hemier park the other day. We were trying to stay out of the house since Chris was on recovery from 24hr duty. He had a great time. It was very nice. We did love playing. It was so hot outside.  It did not seem to affect Liam. I however was melting. Liam has gained some great confidence on the playground. He is climbing more and more. He tries to copy the older boys and climb on everything. I am amazed at how fast he is growing and all the new things he is learning.

Liam going down the slide. He refused to give up the sup to go down the slide.

Driving. He does love the steering wheels at the park.

Running away from Mommy. He loved running up and down the bridges.

He tried going down this fire pole type thing. It was fun watching him learn it. However it only reminded me that he is getting so big and independent.

He then tried to climb in the other way. He is such a monkey some days!

Going up the slide! Notice the cup still.

More climbing. He is all boy!

I love this face!!!! It makes me laugh! So silly my boy.

He did this playgroup thing by himself. I am so proud that he can do but it makes me realize how big he is now. He is not my baby anymore.

My future Paratrooper!

Liam is quite the climber and jumper! He loves to jump from the sofa to the ottoman. He is all boy! My sofa and pillows are always being jumped or climbed on. He loves to go "boom" as Liam calls it. Here is a cute video of him the other day!
