Christmas 2011

This year was a great year for Christmas! Liam was really into things this year. He liked the tree decorating, singing songs, and talking about Santa. He was not a great fan of sitting with Santa but he would talk about him. I did get a slow, late start to the season since we spent 10 days in Florida.

We did have everyone over for Christmas Eve. As usually we opened presents and ate to much food. Liam was very excited about the presents. Oma and John had been over the day before so he had a taste for ripping the paper. He was ready for Chris' family to join us on Christmas Eve. He asked for Dylan and Emily all day. He knew when they got here that we would start opening presents.

More gifts!

A turtle that projects stars on the wall for my turtle!

After Christmas Eve, Liam was more excited for Christmas day. He knew that there were more presents to be opened! Christmas morning Liam woke about 6 and we waited to hear Santa's jingle bells before coming downstairs. He was so excited to hear those jingle bells!
Liam's presents still wrapped!

Gift One

He had to stop and play with this one before he finished opening it.

This one was kinda heavy!

Lego fire trucks!!!!!

This was fun to watch. Liam had a hard time getting it out of the bag.

The gifts..... There are more in the back! We are so blessed to have so many people that love our son. He truly loved every gift he got. Well, maybe not all the books at first. He does love them not for bedtime!

We had to have daddy open the fire truck and the police truck!

We had a wonderful Christmas. There was some sadness when we had to leave our toys for Church and to take a nap. But, Liam enjoyed everything about Christmas. We had a lovely dinner with our neighbors. Us and the Gibbins did s book exchange with the kids. It was a wonderful idea. It was nice to teach them the idea of giving. Liam got Poppy and loved picking out the most girly book he could find. I also think Poppy loved the bag and wrapping as much as the book. Liam loved his Lego book. It was a great treat! I see this returning next year!

We are so blessed with the out pour of love and support for our family. This holiday season had been a little hard on us and everyone has truly helped make it memorable! Thanks you all so much!

Washing dishes

I know this post title does not sound fun, but Liam is really big into helping me. He has started to help with the dishes. I use the term help loosely! He more or less finds a cup and dumps water from one side of the sink to the other. It is very cute.

What a cutie!

Washing hands

Notice his feet are off the stool.... I think  I need a better kitchen option.

Preschool Christmas Party

So I was in charge of crafts this year for the party. I didn't get to see lots of Liam but thanks to Lezlee I got pictures! Liam was super excited that they got MacDonald's for lunch! He does love the Donald's!

Mark did a bowling game with the kids. Liam did love the bowling!

Do you see how Mark added candy canes to the lane?

Liam and I decorating his gingerbread man ornament!

Miss Colleen helping Liam. Liam does not like the texture of marshmallows! See that face?

Train Ride

On our last day in Florida, we were able to catch the train. This is a small train that runs in a part. The rides are by donation. I just knew Liam would love it! He does love Thomas!

Outside the station

Nana got him a train hat!

Liam, Mommy and Nana on the train!

Liam by the train. Since it was blue Liam called him Thomas!

I know that the next time we go to Florida, this is a must do for us!!!! Thanks Mom for the great time!

Florida Beach

On Cathy's last day, we went to the beach! She has never been to Florida and well the beach is a major part! We spent the morning playing. Liam was unsure of the water and sand at first but he sure warmed up quickly. Once he put his feet in the water there was no getting him out. It was not exactly warm in December at the beach. The water was cold but he was not phased!

This was the best picture we could get of Mommy and Liam. He just wanted to play!

Going in the water

We love it!

Running in the waves!

We stripped down to save our clothes.

He sure loved splashing!

Looking for shells!

I asked him to touch the palm tree. This is what I get!

Posing for animal crackers!

I see a road trip to the beach in our future for Liam. It will nice for us all to enjoy the beach together!

Florida Trip

I know I am way behind on my blogging. Liam and I spent 10 days in Florida with my parents. It was a fun filled adventure. Liam loved every minute of being with his Nana and Da. We are blessed that Cathy was able to join us for five days. We all had a great time!

One of our first stops.... Mt. Dora. We took Cathy for tea at the tea house!

At the Tea House

Liam and I in our hats Cathy got for us! Silly!

While we were in Mt. Dora they had a Christmas parade.

Liam saying Cheese!!!!

Liam was completely spoiled by Nana and Da!!! Playing with his new Flying Finn

He loved the Lincoln logs. His favorite part was building and then crashing into them with his cars!

Just look at that face! Liam loves Aggie! They had a great time together. Liam would give her treats many times a day. I wonder why she loved him so much!

Liam and Monty! These two were great friends. Liam wanted to take Monty everywhere!

We did play with our new four legged friends. Liam tired Nana's laundry basket to his pants and pulled Monty around. Aggie had to get a look at it too.

Aggie did enjoy a ride too!

Liam's lemon face!!!

Liam loved Nana and Da's big bath tub!!!!

Before we left we did some cleaning!

We had a wonderful time in Florida! I miss my parents already. I can't wait until our next visit. Thanks mom and dad for wonderful visit!

Airplane Ride to Florida

Liam has been counting down the days until he gets to "ride airplane to Nana Da's house." He loved riding the plane! He loved the plane food too! But his favorite parts was watching movies on the plane!
