Well as most of you know, Chris' older brother Pete and his wife live with us. They have been with us for almost a year now. Pete had to stop working in December sue to health issues. We have been slowly working on getting disability and insurance for him. We are making progress. We have had some rough patches with hospital stays but things are slowly looking up for us. We moved Pete and Cathy from the guest room upstairs to the master down stairs. It make him more able to be part of our day to day lives with less stress on his leg. It really has helped and Liam loves it. Liam has more access to Pete and loves to visit with him.
Cathy started LVN school in January. She is doing great. She just finished her first quarter with A's & B's! We are so proud of her. She is having a great time learning new things. She is going to make a great nurse!
We do have some sad news. Our cat Ava passed on April 1st. She got very sick from her feline leukemia. We took her to the vet and tried antibiotics but she was just not responding. It was very had to see her suffer. Chris was wonderful with helping me and being so understanding. We were very blessed to have her for 5 wonderful years. She was a great cat for our family!
Chris is still in school it. It is going well. He has found some wonderful resources. This semester is coming to an end soon but he still has some more classes to take. I am hoping that these other ones go by faster and are not as hard. But who like chemistry? Not Chris!
Liam is doing great. He is growing and talking like crazy. We are working on not whining but he is 2 and it is hard. His eating has been better. Chris and I are trying not to stress about his eating and it seems to be working. He is becoming more and more independent. It is so cute to see him learn so many new things. He is very happy with out new kitty, Duncan. He does roll the ball at Duncan. Poor Duncan is going to have to get used to having a toddler around. Yep we got a new kitty for Liam for his birthday. We wanted a pet and it only seemed appropriate to let Liam pick since it was his birthday!
I thought I would end this post on a positive note.............. On Good Friday, April 22, I was baptized. We had a few people over at John and Babette's pool for the baptism. Lauren baptized me. The pool water was kinda cold but well worth it. I am so blessed with so many wonderful people in my life! I have amazing family and friends in my life!
